Tuesday April 30 2019 saw the San Bruno CA Chilis, under manager Joshua L. Rose, as the location for the fundraiser for the Northern California Special Olympics. This fundraising event included participation by the the San Bruno CA Police Department personnel, San Bruno CA Police Explorers, and at least one Northern California Special Olympic athlete.

Besides handing out plastic police helmets to the young children, the Special Olympic athlete, the San Bruno Police employees, and the San Bruno Police explorers assisted Chilis staff in serving various guests as well as talking to customers and telling them a little about the Northern California Special Olympics, in hopes that they might make a donation.
