Assemblyman Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, and the city of San Bruno will host state insurance commissioner Dave Jones at a town hall meeting on May 2 where residents will have access to information related to insurance and consumer protection issues.
Topics that will be explored include health care insurance and reform, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements, insurance issues related to the 2010 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno, and avoiding scams that target seniors and disaster victims.
Department of Insurance staff will be available to assist residents with insurance-related matters.
