The California Department of Transportation has begun work this week on State Route 82, northbound and southbound in Redwood City, between Whipple Avenue and Harbor Boulevard that will soon impact traffic in San Bruno.
The work began in Redwood City on Tuesday and will continue through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Crews will be trenching to install conduits as part of the Smart Corridor Project that began in September.
This project will have additional closures as the project moves from Whipple Avenue in Redwood City to Interstate Highway 380 in San Bruno. Anticipated completion date is September 2013.
Two lanes in each direction will remain open to traffic.
Motorists are advised to expect minor delays and to use alternate routes.
Please be alert for workers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
