**An algal bloom has been reported at the creek mouth of Pilarcitos Creek, where it crosses the beach (between Venice and Francis Beach). Although this algal bloom has not been tested for cyanobacteria or cyanotoxins, caution signs have been posted at creek access points to limit water contact. Visit https://mywaterquality.ca.gov/habs/index.html for more information. **

San Mateo County Environmental Health Services advises you to avoid contact with the following beaches and creeks due to elevated levels of bacteria that may be hazardous to your health.

Important Reminder: The County advises you not to swim in ocean waters during, and 3 days after a storm event. When swimming in ocean waters, always stay at least 300 feet from a flowing storm drain or creek mouth.
