Blood Donation UPDATE

Coming October 2018 - Donation location Moving

Article Source: Blood Centers of the Pacific

Thank you for your previous platelet donation with us.

We are strongly urging and encouraging people to give blood now before summer is over to help build up the blood supply following the Labor Day holiday. Thousands of donations are needed to bring the supply up to adequate levels. Summer ends on September 22.

There is something else ending around the same time.

On Monday, September 24, Blood Centers of the Pacific will be announcing its new name. As you might know, Blood Centers of the Pacific is part of a national organization with more than 125 blood donation centers in 22 states. These blood centers have different names; in Memphis, we are Lifeblood, in Sacramento, we are BloodSource, in Phoenix, we are United Blood Services.

On September 24 we will all have the same name. What is the new name? I can't say just yet. I can tell you that Blood Centers of the Pacific will have the same community-based staff that you are friends with and have come to trust. We will continue to operate as a nonprofit organization – staying true to our mission and goals.

You can continue to give knowing you are part of something bigger and making an immediate impact in our community.

You have the ability to do something wondrous and amazing every time you donate blood.

Give now before the end of summer.

It is greatly needed.

As always, Thank You! We look forward to seeing you soon.
