Help Save Our Summer - The Challenge is On
Despite many people getting out during the summer time to get their blood pumping, very often that blood isn’t pumping where it’s most needed, in the donation chair so it can be given to patients in need.
I want to thank you for your past platelet donation with us and urge you to make your next donation appointment now to help prevent a summer blood shortage.
Blood Centers of the Pacific typically experiences a drastic decline in donations during the summer. This is mainly due to a decrease in donors because of school being out and current donors often delaying giving due to summer vacations. We are counting on your help to donate now to help us reach 2500 donations before July 4th. These donations will immediately help to save somebody's life in one of the over 45 hospitals we partner with and help us prepare to meet the needs of patients in emergency situations through the summer.

Mondays are Golden. Mondays are a high request day for platelets. Hospitals need platelets to help manage bleeding and are important for patients in cancer treatment, with blood diseases, or receiving transplants. Donate platelets on Mondays and you will receive special rewards. Become a Monday platelet donor. For more information call 800-707-8483.
Text Alerts. You can receive an alert when your donation is sent to a hospital. When you opt-in for text alerts, you will receive a message when your donation has been sent to help a patient needing a transfusion.
