"Blue" Is For Specific Recycle ONLY - No Garbage

It has come to my attention that a few San Bruno CA residents appear to be using the "Recology Blue Container" for unacceptable items.

Recology San Bruno - Zero Waste provides the following flier listing what CAN be placed in the "BLUE" recycle container, and what can NOT be included.

If residents use the "BLUE" container for unacceptable items, it can increase the cost to Recology San Bruno to sort out the unacceptable items as the purchaser of the "CLEAN" recycled items will only take "CLEAN" recycled items. Any additional expenses to Recology San Bruno to clean up the recycled items can mean that Recology San Bruno could need to raise the costs to the City of San Bruno that will be passed along to YOU the residents paying your garbage bill. The more money Recology San Bruno can obtain by selling their collected recycled items allow Recology San Bruno to help keep YOUR garbage bill lower.

Please do your part and remind your neighbors to "Use the Blue Container" correctly.
