“Yesterday the San Bruno Lions participated in their annual Food Basket Give Away.

This is a annual event and with the help and support of the Welch family has grown each year.”

The San Bruno Park School District continues:
"One of the reasons San Bruno is the referred to as the City with a Heart is evident at this time of year with the gift giving that is inspired by dedicated members of our community.

Thank you San Bruno Lions Club (pictured above) and the Welch Family for assembling and donating over 400 holiday bags of food to families in our schools who are in need.
The holiday food gift bags are a tradition for the Lions Club.
This year, the Welch Family generously contributed to enable many more gift bags to be distributed.
A caravan of Lions Club members travel school to school to drop off the gift bags that staff then provide to the families.
The Lions, also assisted by the Welch Family, have another tradition of visiting students in special needs classes to bring holiday cheer.
Thank you as well to Santa Cops and the Recology San Bruno staff who do their share to brighten the holidays for children in our schools who are in need. "
