Building for Tomorrow: Caltrans and Partners Celebrate Infrastructure Week

SACRAMENTO — Whether moving goods to market, enabling human connection across the vastness of our state and country, or providing for recreation and access to it, we cannot take our infrastructure for granted. Caltrans is proud to join our partners and agencies from all over the United States in celebrating Infrastructure Week, May 13-20, as we focus on the importance of roads, bridges and other investments that drive our economy and improve our quality of life.
This Caltrans News Flash highlights how SB 1 funds will improve our infrastructure and help give Californians additional choices to move around the state they call home. SB 1’s $5 billion annual investment will rebuild California by fixing neighborhood streets, freeways and bridges in communities across California, while targeting funds toward transit and trade and commute corridor improvements.
