Capuchino High Students Among Hundreds To Help With SMC Elections
Students from 14 San Mateo high schools will be staged in voting centers across the county on Tuesday.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- Who says the youth are not involved in the political process? San Mateo County has found 280 students from 14 high schools willing to participate on Election Day at voting centers throughout the area, including some from Capuchino High School.
The students will take part as volunteer representatives through a program called democracyLIVE, which was established to give students greater awareness of the overall election process as well as the rights and responsibilities of voters serving their community.

- Burlingame High School
- Capuchino High School
- Design Tech High School
- El Camino High School
- Junipero Serra High School
- Hillsdale High School
- Mercy High School
- Mills High School
- Oceana High School
- South San Francisco High School
- Woodside High School
Students will be specifically trained for their tasks and paid a stipend of $115 each per day. They'll get a bonus $25, if they work Election Day, a very long commitment for Registrar workers.
