Citizen Concerned About San Bruno Park School Board

  I watched the June 12, meeting of the School Board meeting and was troubled to see that there is trouble amongst the group. I have a question that will help me understand the underlying crux of the problem. Why is Mr. Martinez as the President unable to answer a simple question by Ms. Blanco, about tabling an issue regarding a credit card problem? Instead he seemed uncomfortable, looked down, and avoided a yes or no answer. After two uncomfortable and confusing recesses there was still no answer to the question on the floor. That answer is critical so , that we as viewers waiting can try to understand why the subject is avoided. Another question I have is how the many cannot seem to work with the One person everyone seemed to be against. Another thing I question is for a leader that is lauded for the great work, can just say I quit. I find that disturbing that the leadership can step away, from such a great beginning and is not there to carry on the projects envisioned to become reality for our children of the City of San Bruno. I suggest everyone in the Council read the book “ A Team of Rivals.” President Lincoln, saw his mission of keeping a divided country together as paramount and of the greatest importance that he convinced all his rivals to work with him, and in the end they all had a new found respect for a man who was able to keep them united. I invite my neighbors in san Bruno to share their thoughts, that we might be able to find ways to help our children, our schools to be the bright lights of the future
