On Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 1:01 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the area of Susan Drive and Pacifica Bay Circle, regarding the report of a vehicle that had collided with a tree.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle had collided into a guard rail, up a slight embankment and then into a tree. The driver of the vehicle that had caused the collision, twenty-six year old South San Francisco resident Joseph Carey, was found to have been driving while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Carey was arrested for driving under the influence and released to the custody of a local sobering facility. Minor injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
