Colsaria Henderson, CORA's new executive director, wants to hear from you.

Hello Family and Community,
While we are getting to know each other, the politics on the national level are showing up for us locally. As a victim service and social justice advocacy agency, we are disappointed and heartbroken by the decisions and thought process of many during this Supreme Court nomination and confirmation process. We believe survivors. Everyday CORA and other agencies work to elevate the voice of victims and survivors of violence and abuse. Our staff and advocates have dedicated their lives and careers to hearing, believing, and supporting survivors and when our country’s leadership minimizes and dismisses those voices we at CORA have an obligation to open a dialog, reach out to our community, and even to respond. So we ask you, Family, how should we proceed as a community? How do we teach our young people about consent? How do we enter into dialog about domestic and sexual violence? How, as a community and society, will we assure that survivors' voices will be safe and heard?
