Now in its 15th year, SamTrans is holding its annual Art Takes a Bus Ride contest for young artists throughout San Mateo County.
The contest invites local students to submit artistic creations for the theme “The Power of SamTrans.” The winning entries will be displayed as a wrap on one of two SamTrans buses for an entire year. The winning student art also will be displayed on ad cards inside SamTrans buses. The collaborative effort between SamTrans and the San Mateo County Office of Education engages students in the classroom and emphasizes arts in the community.
