As San Bruno Park School District moves forward with education transformation work, a critical component of the District’s vision for Schools with Tomorrow Inside, it is important to have clarity with the community about educational programming and instructional design.

To this end, Superintendent Dr. Stella Kemp has convened a committee of stakeholders to create the Portrait of a Graduate for the District to determine what our community expects a SBPSD graduate to know and be able to do upon promotion to high school and in preparation for them entering the workplace of the future. This work will build on the District’s student achievement goals, which are: to pursue academic excellence, develop essential life skills, and demonstrate responsibility to the community and world.

Ken Kay, Chief Executive Officer of EdLeader21, a national network of school and district leaders focused on integrating the 4Cs (critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity) into education will facilitate the meetings. Among those contributing to the committee are Emgen, Kaiser Permanente, YouTube, Walmart, along with community leaders, students, parents, faculty and administration, including from the high school and college districts. This work is generously underwritten by a grant from Google.
