SAN MATEO -- Emily McAdams and Kaitlyn Grech combined for a no-hitter as College of San Mateo opened Coast North women’s softball play with an 18-0 blanking of visiting Mission College Tuesday.
The Bulldogs have now shutout four foes over five days by a 48-0 count in 5-inning mercy-rule games!

McAdams also stole four bases and scored three runs Tuesday. Aubrie Businger stole five bases and scored five times. Kaylyn Sterling had four steals and scored twice. Nicole Condon had three RBIs. Amanda Ubois-Weitenhagen went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
McAdams struck out eight over three perfect innings. Grech finished the no-hitter, allowing just a walk. Combined they faced 16 batters, just one over the minimum.
--CSM (16-2, 1-0) faces a first place showdown between the STATE’s two winningest teams at Foothill (17-1, 1-0) on Thursday at 3 p.m.
