El Camino Real Cleared and Power Restored in San Bruno

A downed power line in Millbrae blocked traffic on El Camino Real this morning and caused PG&E customers in Millbrae and San Bruno to lose power.

Power is now restored to nearly 1,300 PG&E customers who lost electricity following a downed power line in Millbrae this morning, a utility spokeswoman said.

El Camino Real, which was closed to southbound traffic between Millwood Drive and Ludeman Lane when the PG&E power line fell into the roadway, has also been reopened, said Millbrae police.

PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said 1,297 customers lost power at 5:42 a.m. Power was restored at 6:58 a.m.

Areas impacted by the outage included Clearfield Drive north to Jenevein Avenue in San Bruno and the area between Interstate Highway 280 and Huntington Avenue in San Bruno, Morris said.
