Elderly Peninsula Man Victim Of Cash Scam: Police
Suspects promised victim inheritance money from South African relative.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help locating two suspects who scammed an elderly South San Francisco man out of an unspecified amount of cash.
The incident occurred Oct. 14 at around 2 p.m.
The suspects told the victim they would be give him money he inherited from a relative in South Africa and convinced him to withdraw money from his bank account so they could gain his trust.

Once the victim gave the suspect the money the suspects fled the scene.
Once the victim realized he’d been scammed he reported the incident to the South San Francisco Police Department.

The suspects are described as two men, one around 60 years old, 5-foot-8, 150 pounds and the other 5-4, 150 pounds and around 50.
