Free Admission to SF Zoo for Military, Vets on 4th of July
Visit the giraffes, penguins and hippos for free with your military ID.
The San Francisco Zoo is home to over 1,000 exotic, endangered and rescued animals representing more than 250 species, nestled in lovely peaceful gardens full of native and foreign plants. And on the 4th of July, members of the military and veterans get in free.
The zoo also includes the popular Fisher Family Children’s Zoo with its historic 1921 Dentzel Carousel and the 1904 miniature Little Puffer Steam Train. In addition, the $3.2 million Elinor Friend Playground re-opened to the public in fall 2013.
