Heavy Rain, 29 MPH Winds In San Bruno: Work Week Forecast

SAN BRUNO, CA — Peninsula residents can expect a strong dose of rain Monday — and part of Tuesday — before the skies clear, according to the latest forecast for the region.

"An approaching storm system is expected to be the strongest so far this season, producing periods of heavy rain and strong winds, especially later today and tonight," the National Weather Service said on Monday morning. "Showers will continue into Tuesday. Dry and mild weather is forecast for the second half of the week and into the upcoming weekend."

Monday
Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 60. South wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Monday Night
Rain, mainly before 4am. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 55. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph becoming south southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday
A chance of rain before 10am, then a chance of showers after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. West northwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Breezy, with a west northwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. West northwest wind 10 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
