Committed to prudent fiscal management, the District continues to explore options related to future use and disposition of its properties, among which is the Engvall site. Discussion only on that topic was the focus of a Board Study Session on February 20th. Tom Shannon, property consultant, who works with school districts and cities, presented to the Board on options for future use and disposition of the Engvall property, currently being leased from the District.

Staff was directed to pursue a meeting between the District and the City to discuss potential implications, if any, of future action related to the City owned property of the Crestmoor Canyon, which borders one side of the property. The Board also encouraged several community meetings.

The Board also received and discussed a presentation from Dannis Woliver Kelley, Attorneys at Law, on next steps consequent to the passage of Measure X, including implementation plan, design phase, construction, etc.

The agenda for the Study Session discussion is on the District Website under agendas www.sbpsd.org
