Homeowners or renters who have a residence with one or more bedrooms are matched with persons seeking housing. HIP Housing also performs intake interviews, reference checks and criminal background checks for you and provides support with a "living together agreement" that spells out the terms of the living arrangement.

HIP Housing has given free, long-term support to those who need it most in San Mateo County for over 40 years, helping to house more than 1,000 people each year throughout the County.
