Meet our new Organizer: Jenny Skoble

We're thrilled to welcome Jenny to the HLC team. She'll be organizing for us, but her background is in law. She's a member of the SMC Committee for Housing and Community Development, a volunteer mediator at PCRC, and a board member of Coastside Children's Programs in HMB. Her outgoing personality and can-do attitude will serve us well!

Advocacy Alert: December 6

Back in June, Caltrain staff discussed their work on a transit-oriented development policy. They committed to bringing a draft policy to the board by the end of 2018, and that it would include an affordable housing component. However, it's the end of 2018 and there hasn't been another discussion of the affordable housing policy!

Join us to remind Caltrain to prioritize this policy. The next board meeting is:

December 6 @ 10 am Bacciocco Auditorium, 2nd Floor 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos CA 94070

We will speak at the beginning of the meeting, during public comment.

Event Alert: Menlo Park

Belle Haven Action, the Belle Haven Neighborhood Association, The Housing Leadership Council, and Menlo Together are joining together to host a discussion group as part of Silicon Valley Community Foundation's On The Table. This is the 2nd year in a row we have co-hosted this event and we're looking forward to new faces and more great discussions. The lunchtime chat is meant to spur conversations with residents across our communities and we hope you will be able to join in.

It will be Tuesday, November 27th, 12:30pm - 2:30pm at the Onetta Harris Community Center, 100 Terminal Ave., Menlo Park

Lunch will be provided.
