OUR IMPACT

San Bruno is fortunate to have parents and leaders in the civic and business community who have long supported our public schools. They have stood by the District through fiscal recovery to ensure new systems are in place that will guarantee that the operations of the district are fiscally efficient and effective; they have helped to attract grant and partnership funding to implement new and sustain existing programming for San Bruno children; and, they have supported teachers who have just negotiated with the District another pay increase over the next two years.
Once again, parents, community members, and educators are stepping up in the grass roots volunteer effort with a ground swell of support from the likes of Senator Jerry Hill and Assemblymember Kevin Mullin, to Board of Supervisors Dave Pine and Dave Canepa, to the San Mateo County Community College District, Unions, San Bruno City Council members, Chamber of Commerce and the list goes on. These supporters recognize that the Measure X campaign is committed to providing a quality education to our elementary and middle school students in San Bruno.
PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE
Measure X will replace & repair aging classrooms and labs so that San Bruno students will be prepared for the workplace of the future. San Bruno Park School District provides an exceptional education for elementary and middle school students. But many school facilities are outdated; indeed, among the oldest in San Mateo County, and are in serious need of modernization.
LOCALLY CONTROLLED FUNDING
The Bond Measure provides dedicated, locally controlled funding to support a safe and modern learning environment for our students that will give teachers also 21st century learning environments in which to focus on providing students with high quality instruction in math, science, engineering concepts, and technology.
EVERY PENNY STAYS HERE IN SAN BRUNO
- All money raised will be controlled locally to support local elementary and middle schools and cannot be taken away by the State
- Independent citizen oversight and annual audits are required
- No money can be used for administrator salaries
While some of our schools have been renovated over time, others have not, and all local students deserve equal access to safe and up to date classrooms. Join us in providing modern San Bruno schools equipped for 21st-century student success.
