Dr. Dunleavy

Dr. Dunleavy greeted and welcomed everyone followed by impressive speeches by Student Body President Lily Cunningham and Vice President Kyndall Smith.

Next, the very prestigious Raymond V. Stagnaro Award was presented to two young ladies who exemplified the criteria of outstanding Scholarship, Citizenship, and involvement in Student Activites. The two honorees were McKenna Woliczko and Lily Cunningham.

Former John Muir Principal, of blessed memory, Ray Stagnaro, served the San Bruno Park School District for forty years and was revered for his leadership, caring, and creating a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment at John Muir School. He established a strong feeling of “Community” at the school during his twenty-one year tenure as the school’s Principal.

His wife created and supports this Award to this very day. The recipients were requested to take a photo of themselves with their plaques to be sent to Mrs. Stagnaro. The honorees names will be inscribed on a perpetual plaque that will be on display for all to view in the school’s multi-purpose room.

Dr. Dunleavy presented the “Promotion” certificates to each student. She spoke about continuing to be a good student, ask for help when needed, and manage one’s time efficiently.

Dr. Dunleavy is well known as an innovative, strong educator as her accomplishments transcend not only our school district but several of the adjacent ones as well. She is friendly and extends warm feelings to everyone and is very popular amongst our community.

Well wishes were extended to Dr. Dunleavy as she enters retirement and a new and exciting phase of her life.
