Low Clouds Lead to Ground Delays at SFO

The San Francisco International Airport has been placed on a Ground Delay Program Monday morning by the Federal Aviation Administration due to low clouds, according to airport Duty Manager Joe Walsh.

Walsh said the program officially begins at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. unless the weather clears up and is deemed safe by the FAA.

A few flights have already been delayed about 15 to 30 minutes, but nothing significant has yet occurred with incoming or departing flights, according to Walsh.

The airport encourages passengers to check with their airlines prior to arriving to the airport for any additional information.
