Mollie Stone's To Unveil Electric Car Charging Stations

Customers can charge their car battery for up to an hour while they shop for groceries.

Mollie Stone’s Markets are unveiling electric vehicle charging stations this month, starting with a spot at their Sausalito location. Stations at the Burlingame, Palo Alto and San Bruno locations will soon follow.

Customers can charge up for an hour while shopping for groceries at the Sausalito locale, the first charging station at a Bay Area grocery store, reported MarinScope Community Newspapers. Mollie Stone's launched the station -- which can charge two vehicles at the same time -- last week.

Charging stations, run by Campbell-based ChargePoint, will soon spread to all nine of Mollie Stone's Bay Area locations, including San Bruno, reported the San Francisco Business Times

The stations are indended to help eliminate “range anxiety,” or an EV driver’s fear that their batteries will run out of juice before they get home.
