Needed: Healthy Stores for a Healthy Community

The Healthy Stores for a Healthy Community (HSHC) campaign is a statewide campaign. The goal is to improve the health of Californians by making changes to community retail stores and informing the public about how in-store product marketing influences the consumption of unhealthy products.

San Mateo County Health will be visiting community retail stores throughout the county to assess their retail environments. The visits are scheduled to take place from the beginning of April until the end of June 2019.

County Health is looking for volunteers to help with this project. Volunteers will be trained and given a $10 gift card for every store surveyed. Individuals interested in volunteering can visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScSJhKi4vFjnK61-HzPKVaFOoV-tTb8C7h8sGH4Waa45rvj1Q/viewform to sign up and select a required training session date (March 30 or 31 or April 13, 2019).
