New Caltrain Site Lets You Check Elevator Status In San Bruno

"This is a small, but important, step towards ensuring that Caltrain is open for everyone."

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Caltrain officials announced Friday a new resource for those riders who rely on the station's elevators. You can now check online to find out if the lifts are operational before leaving your home.

The site, which you can find here, lists the seven Caltrain stations that have elevators. You'll find "regularly updated" status reports on the machines, according to the agency.

"Caltrain is committed to providing equal access to our facilities for all our riders," said Ben Burns, Manager of Rail Operations. "This is a small, but important, step towards ensuring that Caltrain is open for everyone."
