Received from a friend who lost everything in the Paradise/Magalia CAMP Fire and continues to fight to get PG&E to pay. Contact Sacramento

Received the letter below from a friend who survived the Camp Fire and is seeking YOUR support in getting PG&E to fund the recovery.

Dear Clients -

As you probably know, PG&E is threatening to file bankruptcy to avoid paying for the loss of our homes and other property.

First, let me be clear that if PG&E is allowed to file bankruptcy it is not the end of our claims. If the utility does file bankruptcy, all claims would be consolidated into a bankruptcy proceeding instead of the jury trial we deserve. This process would also place large institutional investors at the front of the line ahead of our claims and the claims of thousands of other fire survivors, businesses, insurance companies, and municipalities in the state. That could result in a lower amount available to make us whole.

Our team is committed to representing us and helping us to recover what we’re entitled to.

Now is the time for our elected leaders to step up and find a solution to this potential problem. We are doing everything in our power to advocate for Governor Newsom, the legislature and the Public Utilities Commission to work with PG&E to avoid a bankruptcy filing.

That’s why I would like to invite you to join us in Sacramento for a press conference with Erin Brockovich and me to send this message loud and clear to our representatives in the statehouse.

If you’re able, please join us at noon on Tuesday January 22 2019 on the south steps of the State capitol building in Sacramento.

We realize that getting to Sacramento on a Tuesday is not easy but your voice is invaluable as we fight PG&E’s latest attempt to avoid responsibility to the families and communities it destroyed. Erin will still be at our community forums in Chico on Sunday and Monday evening - each of those events will take place at 5:30 PM at the Elk’s Lodge..

Sincerely,

JE (and the rest of our team)

PS: If you can’t join us in person, we still need you to make your voice heard.

Visit pgelawsuit.com/take-action to find contact information for your legislators and PLEASE CALL THEM.
