Ohlone-Portolá Heritage Trail Information Sessions

2019 will mark the 250th anniversary of the discovery of the San Francisco Bay by the Spanish. A variety of events are planned during the next year to commemorate the Portolá exploration and the important role of the Ohlone people who inhabited the area and who assisted Gaspar de Portolá along his journey.

San Mateo County Parks Department invites residents to attend meetings in Pacifica, Pescadero, and Woodside to obtain more insight as to how this significant event in local history came about and ways to be involved in the anniversary.

• Pescadero: Monday, October 1, 7 – 9 p.m., Pescadero Native Sons Community Hall
• Woodside: Tuesday, October 2, 7 – 9 p.m. Woodside Town Hall
