Peninsula School Worker Accused Of Raping 16-Year-Old

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A 22-year-old San Bruno man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl, police said Friday.

Police first responded on Oct. 14 to a local hospital after getting a report of a juvenile being treated for a sexual assault. After investigating for multiple days, police determined the victim had been raped by Armando Alejandro Quintana, 22, of San Bruno, the department said.

Quintana was arrested at his home on Oct. 17, on charges of rape, sexual battery and false imprisonment of a minor.

Police discovered that Quintana worked for the City of San Bruno at an after-school program at Belle Air Elementary School, but do not believe that Quintana victimized any students in the program. The victim in this case wasn't a student in that program, police said.
