Bay Area Employers Honored during Phase2Careers’ Diversity Workforce Month

On Friday, October 19, 2018, at Poplar in San Mateo, Phase2Careers featured its annual Awards Ceremony for Excellence in the Bay Area Workplace. This year, as part of Diversity Workforce Month, proclaimed by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, the emphasis was on “Generational Diversity.” In other words, including age as one of the standard definitions of diversity (along with gender, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation).

The event included breakfast and the presentation of awards to local companies who embrace, reflect, and practice diversity and inclusion in their workplaces. Those honored were: DPR Construction, Edward Jones, Franklin Templeton, and LeClairRyan. Congratulations to all these worthy organizations for their celebration of Diversity!

Bob Giusti, co-founder of Hire55,,was honored at Phase2Careers Volunteer of the Year for his broad scope of contributions--graphic talents, workshops, coordination and many years of loyal service to Phase2Careers.

The featured Keynote Speaker was Rosie Cofre, Belonging and Diversity Principal at Workday. Rosie’s talk was enthusiastically received and highlighted the mission of Phase2Careers. A resounding success!

Phase2Careers’ mission is to assist the Over 40 worker prepare for new opportunities in today’s economy through job search, career development, and small business programs.
