Police Log: Drunk Driver Exits Freeway, Drives Into Bushes

Thursday, Oct. 11

6:48 a.m. A business was burglarized on the 400 block of San Mateo Avenue, and money was stolen from a register.

11:02 a.m. Police received a report from a resident that someone attempted to break into a home on the 400 block of Redwood Avenue. The homeowner noticed that a gate was open on the morning of Oct. 10 and that a shed in the backyard had been pried open. Nothing was stolen.

Friday, Oct. 12

1:24 a.m. A drunk driver in a dark-colored SUV exited Highway 101 onto San Bruno Avenue East and drove into the bushes.

10:37 a.m. Police received a report that someone broke into a home on the 3400 block of Crestmoor Drive. When the homeowner went inside, it appeared that the home was ransacked.

12:03 p.m. An empty U-Haul truck was stolen on the 2000 block of Whitman Way.

3:43 p.m. Some items were stolen from and a window was smashed on a black Buick Lacrosse, which was parked for 90 minutes near ULTA and PETCO at the mall.

Saturday, Oct. 13

9:42 a.m. A 50" Samsung TV, which was attached to a wall, was stolen from a first floor media room of an apartment complex on the 1000 block of National Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 14

8:34 a.m. Police received a report that a green Toyota Celica was stolen sometime between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 14.
