Every year for many years the San Bruno CA Police Department hosted a Police Appreciation Day at the Shops at Tanforan (inside) where residents could view vehicles from many local police departments, talk to police officers, pick up Crime Tips info, sit in many vehicles, take pictures of their children with or in various vehicles, and at 1:00 p.m. and at 4:00 p.m. view a K9 demo.
The vehicles needed to be driven down a very narrow walkway to get into the mall.

The San Bruno Crime Prevention Committee (working under the direction of the San Bruno CA Police Department) meets the 2nd Thursday Monthly at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Room 113. Their main activity is to work to get additional Neighborhood Watch Blocks established in San Bruno. More EYEs & EARs reporting suspicious activities to 650-616-7100 help to make the City of San Bruno CA safer.
The Crime Prevention Committee meetings are open to all interested San Bruno residents and Neighborhood Watch is always on the agenda. Consider attending an upcoming meeting.
