SAJJ serves such traditional Mediterranean cuisine as kabobs, falafel and shawarmas with a modern twist and bold flavors, plus a build-your-own concept, allowing guests to choose their proteins, then select pitas, wraps or bowls and spreads and toppings.

The San Bruno site, at 851 Cherry Avenue, marks the chain's 12th location. Other locales include San Francisco, San Mateo, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, San Jose and San Ramon. Further expansion is planned in the Bay Area, Southern California, and markets outside of the state, company officials said.
