The Count would not be possible without the participation of volunteers, and we know that the Count started quite early in the morning, so we really appreciate your participation to help our community understand more about the people experiencing homelessness in our community! The 2019 One Day Count included over 400 Volunteers comprised of community based organization, county and city staff, private industry, community guides, and private citizens. There were around 165 teams that covered the entire County between the hours of 5-10am. The data you collected will be used to help improve our efforts to provide the most appropriate services and resources where they are needed. We hope you enjoyed your experience and will consider participating in future years!

A note regarding the final numbers - Each time the Count is conducted, there is a significant effort to review, analyze and interpret the data and produce the final report which is generally released in June. When complete, the final report will be posted on our website: https://hsa.smcgov.org/2019-one-day-homeless-count

The Count was a community wide effort and thank you for being a part of it!

Sincerely,

The San Mateo County Human Services Agency
