Peninsula High School Burglary Suspect Arrested

The suspect smashed a window and removed numerous items including musical instruments, police said.

SAN BRUNO, CA — A 33-year-old Oakland man was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly breaking into a high school and trying to steal musical instruments, San Bruno police said.

Police responded to a report of a burglary alarm at Capuchino High School at 2:38 a.m. and upon arrival detained the suspect as he tried to flee the San Bruno campus.

Police said the suspect smashed a window and removed numerous items including musical instruments.

All of the property was returned to the school, police said.

The suspect was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of commercial burglary, police said.
