San Bruno Police Log, Aug. 26-29: Recycling Thieves, Tagger Caught by Tanforan Security, and Youths Toilet-Papering Neighborhood

Aug. 26

12:22am. Police responded to a report of an assault resulting in injury between a taxi driver and a passenger on the 1100 block of Huntington Avenue.

7:31am. Someone reported a suspected burglary of a gold Mazda sedan on the 100 block of Linden Avenue.

7:50am. A caller reported that a woman wearing an orange sweater and brown pants was taking recyclables on the 200 block of Santa Dominga Avenue while a man in a brown BMW was collecting the items from her.

9:29am. A caller reported that a man wearing a white T-shirt and cargo pants was walking down San Luis Avenue taking recyclables.

10:37am. A caller reported that a woman in a black sweater and blue jeans was walking down Fourth Avenue with black trash bags taking recyclables.

10:50pm. Someone reported that a child on the 500 block of Fifth Avenue went missing on Aug. 25.

Aug. 27

11:03am. A caller reported that a woman in all black was walking down the 800 block of Green Avenue with black trash bags taking recyclables.

12:46pm. Someone reported that a transient appeared to be "living" in a municipal lot on Masson Avenue near Artichoke Joe's.

7:49pm. Someone reported a burglary on the 1200 block of Williams Avenue. The rear sliding glass door of the home was shattered and jewelry had allegedly been stolen.

Aug. 28

8:13pm. A caller requested a police check on the 1800 block of Claremont Drive saying several young people had toilet-papered the neighborhood on the night before.

Aug. 29

9:28pm. The security at The Shops at Tanforan reported they had detained a juvenile on suspicion of graffiti.
