The San Bruno Police Department was fortunate enough to receive a grant to do a joint training exercise with the San Bruno Fire Department to better serve and protect the people who live and work in San Bruno. We will be conducting training exercises today through the weekend.

Please do not be alarmed if you hear loud noises in the surrounding neighborhood or see dozens of first responder vehicles. This is general training, we are not training for a specific threat. Details can be found in our press release below.

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 21, 22, & 23) the San Bruno Police Department and the San Bruno Fire Department will be conducting three joint training exercises within the City of San Bruno.

The specific locations include:

  • San Bruno City Hall (June 21, 2019 / 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
  • Parkside Intermediate School (June 22, 2019 / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Capuchino High School (June 23, 2019 / 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

There will be dozens of first responders and emergency vehicles in the areas described above throughout the training events. Additionally, this training will include the use of simulated firearms and other loud noises, which may be heard in the surrounding neighborhood. Please do not be alarmed as this is a controlled police training exercise and there will be no risk to the surrounding public.

We are hosting this training as part of our ongoing commitment to being optimally prepared to protect all people within our City, in any emergency. This training has not been coordinated based on any specific threat.
