San Bruno Supervisor Wants To Ban Cellphone Use In Crosswalks

REDWOOD CITY, CA — On Tuesday in Redwood City a San Mateo County supervisor is planning to introduce a resolution to ban the use of cellphones by pedestrians in crosswalks, according to the office of Supervisor David Canepa.
Canepa will introduce the resolution at a meeting starting at 9 a.m. in the supervisors' board chambers at 400 County Center in Redwood City.
Canepa is introducing the resolution to urge California lawmakers to pass a law to ban distracted walking.

Canepa represents District 5, which includes: the City of Brisbane, Broadmoor, the Town of Colma, the City of Daly City, and parts of the City of San Bruno and the City of South San Francisco.
