A well-publicized meeting offering the public to give their input regarding the San Mateo Avenue Streetscape Plan was attended by eleven San Brunans.
Two previous Workshops garnered large participation affording the public to give their input of ideas, wishes, and suggestions regarding the improvement of San Mateo Avenue.

Wednesday evening’s meeting held at the San Bruno Senior Center commenced with introductory comments, describing actions and progress of up to date drafts and actions by the contract Architects by Darcy Smith, City of San Bruno Community and Economic Development Director. Also, in attendance were Rucha Dande, Associate Planner, and David Wong, Engineer in the Public Works Department.
Architect Jacob Tobias gave a comprehensive report of all the opportunities and meetings that citizens could express their ideas regarding San Mateo Avenue improvements. He narrated a power point slide show of photos and graphs of the draft report that was created from community input and the architectural firm’s ideas.
Mayor Rico Medina, Councilman Marty Medina, Police Chief Ed Barberini, Park and Recreation Commissioner David Nigel, Planning Commissioner Mary Lou Johnson were in attendance and heard all the questions from the audience and responses by the Architect.
Ideas were heard and the architects will incorporate ideas into their draft prior to presenting their report to the City of San Bruno Planning Commission and the City Council.
