Saturday, January 19, 8:00 AM
King tides are the highest tides of the year and help us visualize what every day water levels could look like with sea level rise. San Mateo County's Office of Sustainability is hosting "King Tides & Coffee" to inform the public about king tides and sea level rise. Peak height will be 6.6 ft at 8:12 AM.

King Tides Photo Project
Saturday - Monday, January 19 - 21

In addition to attending the event, we encourage you to go out to the Bay or Coast during the highest tides of the year and take photos of the high water, and post them to the California King Tides website. King tides are about a foot higher than the average high tide and show what every day water levels could look like with one foot of sea level rise. Visit https://www.coastal.ca.gov/kingtides/ to learn more.
