WELCOME TO OUR ADVISORY BOARD MEETING: If you wish to speak on an item under discussion by the Board and appearing on the agenda, you may do so upon receiving recognition from the Board Chair. If you wish to speak on a matter not appearing on the agenda, you may do so during PUBLIC COMMENT. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, individuals requiring accommodation for this meeting should notify us 48 hours prior to the meeting (616-7150).

MEETING MINUTES - Senior Citizens Advisory Board - September 18, 2018
1. Call to Order/Roll Call: Vice Chair Green called the meeting of the Senior Citizens Advisory Board to order at 9:00 am. Board Members Present: Chair Goff, Vice Chair Green, Carmichael, Hayes, Tracey, and Treasurer Hornung, Board Member Excused: Luzaich and Chu. Staff Present: Brewer, Magrini, Rangel, and Tessier.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Chair Green led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. REVIEW OF AGENDA: No changes.
4. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: MSC Carmichael/Hayes to accept the minutes of the July 17, 2018 meeting. Approved unanimously.
5. CONSENT CALENDAR:
- Accept: Treasurer's Report - August 2018
- Accept: Monthly Information and Referral, Class Attendance, Nutrition Site Reports, and Senior Center Historical Front Desk Sign In Data
- Accept: Monthly Minutes from Senior Events Committee
6. PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
- Discussion Regarding Draft of Charitable Bequest Program and Review of Draft Brochure (Brewer) - City Attorney and Finance Director are happy with moving forward with the program, but want less information supplied. Staff Brewer created a simple postcard with the verbiage that was already approved. Staff will have postcard approved by City Attorney.
- Update on Trash Enclosure Fencing (Brewer) - Staff Brewer stated that
- Discussion Regarding Annual Presentation to City Council (Brewer) - Presentation will be on September 25, 2018. Discussion about picture of the advisory board and order of the slides.
insurance will probably pay for the walkway part of it. She presented the National Site Council with a letter asking for $7,000 for part of the funding. Commissioner Hayes asked if the $14,000 can come from the restricted fund and not the Senior Advisory Board fund. MSC Green/Goff. Approved unanimously.

Commissioner Hayes stated that the ping pong table was damaged in the accident and would like authorization for $500.00 to purchase a new one. MSC Carmichael/Tracey. Approved unanimously.
Commissioner Goff asked that the lift will be fixed this week in time for the variety show. Staff Brewer said it is being worked on today and should be operating by then.
