Dear SMC Alert Users.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will conduct a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) and the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday October 3, 2018 with a scheduled time of 11:18 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. respectively.
The tests will send messages to cell phones that are connected to participating wireless providers.

These are only tests that assess the system's operation and readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of national messages and determine whether improvements are needed.
No action is needed on your part.
