Tech Skills Academy via Zoom Meeting

Monday - Wednesday, June 15 - 17, 2020

The San Bruno Public Library is offering a series of digital literacy classes online via Zoom Meeting in our “Tech Skills Academy” on Monday – Wednesday, June 15 – 17. These classes are geared toward adults and teens. The classes are free. Limited to 20 participants. For class requirements and to RSVP, go to: class.sanbrunolibrary.org

Monday, June 15:

Computer Literacy, 9 AM – 12 PM: The course provides information technology literacy and basic skills training for learners with limited experience. Course learning outcomes focus on skill development related to basic computer operations.

End User Security, 1 PM – 4 PM: Protect yourself from Internet phishing and viruses by learning the tips to avoid them.

Tuesday, June 16:

Excel, 9 AM – 12 PM: Learn how to use Excel in both your personal and professional life. Excel can make it easy to monitor financial performance, such as business profit or loss, calculate payments on large purchases, plan a budget, or stay organized with checklists.

Google, 1 PM – 4 PM: Explore what Google Gmail has to offer.

Wednesday, June 17:

Job Hunting, 9 AM – 12 PM: Learn strategies and tips for your resume, search and interview to help you get your next job.

Rental Search, 1 PM – 4 PM: Learn how to find an apartment with the Internet, as well as tips and smart questions to ask during your search.

All classes will be held online via Zoom Meeting.
