Dear Measure X Donors, Endorsers, Volunteers:

We extend again to all of you who donated, endorsed, and volunteered and voted to accomplish passage of the bond, our heartfelt appreciation for your support. Each of you shares in this victory on behalf of San Bruno children.

A resounding 69% of the votes cast were in favor of Measure X to fix San Bruno schools, well above the 55% required to pass. Your support enabled the Committee to Improve San Bruno Schools to disseminate information to voters through the mail and in person, along with extensive phone banking and door to door outreach. The campaign was a true grass roots effort with support coming from all sectors: seniors, parents, elected officials, service clubs, the community college and high school districts, resulting in San Bruno voters of all ages sending a strong message to the children of San Bruno: ‘We care about giving you good schools in which to learn and thrive!!”

The exciting work now begins to modernize the schools including sale of surplus property to enhance the $79 million bond, and establishment of a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to ensure the District maintains complete transparency within the community regarding bond expenditures. The District website: www.sbpsd.org will also be a reference point for the community to follow progress.
