Please join us for the fourth convening of the Climate Ready SMC Collaborative on Wednesday, June 5 which will will focus on building countywide readiness to stronger storms, flooding and rising seas. Click here the RSVP

The convening will provide an opportunity to learn more about the science and latest modeling results of projected changes in rainfall and storm events and increasing sea levels, and suggest where creeks, shorelines, and communities are likely to be at risk from inland and coastal flooding in San Mateo County.
The convening will also set the stage for developing a framework for local action on climate readiness and showcase efforts, projects and approaches from across the Bay area and San Mateo County to help understand and plan for the risks and include community resilience and equity in flooding and sea level rise preparedness.
MEETING GOALS
- Bring together stakeholders with a shared interest in storms, flooding and sea level rise preparedness.
- Debut modeling results of combined storms, flooding and sea level rise risks in San Mateo County.
- Showcase best practices and facilitate coordination on adaptation projects.
- Lay the foundations to develop a Countywide framework for local action on sea level rise preparedness.
