NOTE: The County will be sending out in the mail your property tax bill shortly. This document will show the dollar amount the County has listed for your property that they use to calculate your property taxes. This value will be different than the value that you might be able to sell your property for.

The bond will be approximately $30/$100k of assessed (not market) value per year.

This means that if someone has owned their home for a very long time and is paying property taxes based on a $100k assessed value, then they would pay approximately $30 per year more in property taxes.

If their home is assessed at $200k, then they would pay $60/year more.

If $300k, then $90/year more.

If $400k, then $120/year more.

If $500k, then $150/year more.

If $1 million, then $300/year more.

If they have recently purchased their home for $1.3 million, then $390/year more.

Our children deserve better school facilities. The bond money can only be spent on facilities and there is a legally required oversight committee that will be formed after the bond passes.
