Dr. Frank Stanger, the founder of the San Mateo County History Museum, made it his business to collect reminders of home front activities in San Mateo County and compiled a large collection of wartime posters. A selection of some of the most interesting of these will make up a new exhibit at the History Museum entitled: Your Country Needs You: Posters from World War II which will open on April 24, 2018.
This display will complement another exhibit at the History Museum that explores aspects of the wartime experiences:Peninsula at War: San Mateo County’s World War II Legacy.
